Board of Trustees Elections

IMPORTANT DATES

Ballots for the Retiree Trustee election were mailed on Friday, August 21 and must be filled out and returned no later than Friday, September 11 at 4:00 p.m. to be counted.  If you have not received your ballot in the mail by Friday, August 28, please call the Retirement System office at 314-241-0800.

Candidates for Position of RETIREE Trustee

At the close of this year’s Trustee Election Filing Period (4:00 P.M., 08/07/2026), the following have filed a Declaration of Candidacy for the position of Retiree Trustee to this System’s Board of Trustees for the three (3)-year Term of Office which begins October 1, 2026: 

  • Sam Zouglas
  • Ken Lammert
  • Anna F. Griggs

Envelopes bearing the return address of the System’s auditor, Sikich LLP and marked “Official Pension Ballot” will be mailed to the home of record of every retired officer on Friday, August 21, 2026.  The envelopes will contain the official ballot and a postage-paid return envelope addressed to the office of the auditor, Sikich LLP.  Only those ballots received in the auditor’s office prior to 4:00 P.M. on Friday, September 11th will be counted.

Candidates for Position of ACTIVE Trustee

At the close of this year’s Trustee Election Filing Period (4:00 P.M., 08/07/2026), the following have filed a Declaration of Candidacy for the position of Active Trustee to this System’s Board of Trustees for the three (3)-year Term of Office which begins October 1, 2026:

  •  Nicholas Muehlheausler

Under provisions of the Police Retirement System Trustees’ Manual, Section 3.09.4, “In the event only one qualified candidate for any Trustee office to be filled by election files a timely and valid Declaration of Candidacy, no election shall be conducted for that office and said candidate shall be certified by the Board as the elected candidate for that office.”

Pursuant to the above provision, Sergeant Nicholas Muehlheausler will be certified as the Active Trustee for the term beginning October 1, 2026.

Voting Period

Ballots mailed to all persons eligible to vote on Friday, August 21, 2026.

Ballots must be received in the office of Sikich, LLP (formerly Hochschild, Bloom & Co.) no later than Friday, September 11, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.

Election Results

Results of the election will be announced after 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026.

Assuming Office

Elected trustees to take office on or after October 1, 2026, once qualified and credentialed.
